About

I’m a Senior Software Engineer in Robotics at Apptronik as part of their humanoid robotics division. Previously I was a Robotics Engineer at NASA Johnson Space Center in the Robotic Systems Technology Branch, ER4. I received my PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin) as part of the Human Centered Robotics Lab (HCRL) under the supervision of Dr. Luis Sentis, where I developed control and trajectory generation approaches for humanoid robots.

AT UT Austin, I also received my Master’s in Mechanical Engineering, completed the Robotics Graduate Portfolio program, and was a team lead for the 2017 Robocup@Home competition. I was also a 2015 NASA Space Technology Research Fellow (NSTRF), which gratiously funded my Master’s and PhD at UT Austin.

I was course 2A-6 at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where I received my Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a concentration in Control, Instrumentation and Robotics (CIR). I did undergraduate research with the MIT Museum Studio with Dr. Seth Reskin and Alan Doyle, the Robotics, Vision, and Sensor Networks Group (RVSN) with Professor Seth Teller, and the Field and Space Robotics Lab with Professor Steven Dubowsky. I was also briefly part of the MIT DARPA Robotics Challenge team during the Virtual Robotics Challenge phase.

My research interests are in deployable control and trajectory generation methods for humanoid robots.
